Ace

Ace Card carries 10 Points in 13 Card and 21 Card Indian Rummy and can be used to form a sequence with high cards like King, Queen and Jack as also with low value cards such as 2, 3 and 4 but not at the same time i.e. Sequences cannot be wrapped around Ace Card. i.e. 2 – Ace – K will not be a valid sequence.

101 Pool

It is a Pool Rummy Game Format where every Player who reaches 101 Points is knocked out of the game. However, Player can rejoin if no other Player on table has 79 Points or more.

201 Pool

It is a Pool Rummy Game Format where every Player who reaches 201 Points is knocked out of the game. However, Player can rejoin if no other Player on table has 174 Points or more.

Buy In

It is the amount that Player has to pay in order to enter a Tournament. It is also known as Entry Fee.

Best of 2 Deals

It is a Deals Rummy Format in which the final Winner is decided at the end of 2 Deals.

Best of 3 Deals

It is a Deals Rummy Format in which the final Winner is decided at the end of 3 Deals.

Best of 6 Deals

It is a Deals Rummy Format in which the final Winner is decided at the end of 6 Deals.

Cash Game

Cash Game is a game in which Player makes use of Real Chips to play.

Chips

Chips stand for the currency used for playing Rummy at KhelPlay Rummy. Players are given 10000 Practice Chips to play with initially which get refilled automatically upon clicking the Refresh Button.

Closed Deck

Closed Deck refers to the stacked cards kept with face down from which Players can draw during their turn.

Deck

Deck refers to the entire pack of cards used in any rummy game consisting of the 13 cards belonging to each of the four suits and the Printed and Wildcard Jokers.

Drop

Players have the option to Drop out of the Game by clicking the Drop button. Player can choose to drop in the 1st round itself or in any of the middle rounds. The Points incurred by the Player will differ depending upon when the Player chooses to drop.

Dealer

Dealer refers to the Person at the table who deals out the Cards to all the Players at the table. The outcome of the toss at the beginning decides which Player gets to be Dealer.

Discard Pile

Discard Pile, also known as open deck, refers to the discarded set of cards kept with face up next to the Closed Deck. Player can choose to draw the topmost card from the discard pile during his turn.

Face Card

Face Cards refer to the King, Queen, Jack and Ace cards of all suits.

Full Count

Full Count refers to the maximum points that can be incurred by a Player in any game irrespective of the total value of cards in his hands.

Impure Sequence

An Impure Sequence makes use of one or more Joker cards to make a Series of three or more cards. The Joker Card may or may not belong to the same suit as all the other Cards in the Impure Sequence.

Point Value

Point Value refers to the pre-fixed value in a Points Rummy Game on the basis of which final Winnings of the Player would be determined using following equation:

Winnings = (Sum of all points that opponents get) x (Point Value) – Rake*

Rake refers to the commission charged on each Player Table

Pure Sequence

A Pure Sequence is a group of three or more cards belonging to the same suit arranged in a Series without the use of a Joker card.

Printed Joker

Printed Joker is the designated Joker card with the symbol of a Joker in a deck.

Paplu

Paplu is the popular name by which Indian Rummy is referred to in many parts of India.

Set

A Set is a group of three or more cards all of the same rank but belonging to different suits. You can use one or more Joker cards to complete your Set.

Show

Show refers to the act of declaring Melded cards. User clicks on Show button when he is confident of having grouped his cards into proper sets and sequences.

Shuffle

Shuffling refers to the act of mixing together a set of playing cards with the aim of bringing in randomness. In Online Rummy, the shuffling is done by a certified Random Number Generator (RNG)

Turn Time

Turn Time refers to the time allotted to each Player to complete his turn in online rummy game. User can choose between Normal and Fast Turn time options.

Wildcard Joker

Wildcard Joker refers to the Card which is chosen as Joker after all the cards have been distributed to the Players. The Wild Card Joker acts like a Printed Joker and is used to complete a Set or an impure sequence.
